Adding Temporary Color to My Natural Hair

Summer is not canceled and neither are my beauty and hair routines! When I think of Summer, I think of happy and colorful things. Why not add that vibe to my natural hair? Adding a pop of color to my natural curls using temporary hair colors has become a fun way for me to switch up my evolving look.

Previous Colors

Yes, I know I say this every time I try a new temporary color. But I really mean it when I say that blue is my favorite. Second to red, blue is one of my favorite colors. In high school, I remember making it a point to wear something blue every day, even if it was something no one else could see.

If you recall my very first video on my YouTube channel was my application and review of gold Hair Paint Wax. I loved it! Secondly, I tried silver. I loved that even more! In fact, I loved them both so much that I ordered some of the more vibrant and bold colors to try out and blue was on the list!

Color and Natural Hair

What I love the most about Hair Paint Wax is that it is a temporary water-based hair coloring solution. Coloring natural hair can damage your curls if not done correctly. And by correctly I mean professionally and by someone who actually knows how to color natural hair. Using temporary color on my natural hair continues to be a great way for me to switch it up without committing to anything permanent or running the risk of altering my curls with chemicals!

My Vlog on the Process

In my latest YouTube Vlog, I discuss how my application process of the blue varies from my application process of both gold and silver and my thoughts on the outcome. And of course, I added in a few funny moments of Donyetta being Donyetta!

Also, keep tagging me in your photos of the different colors you’re trying. I am loving all of the beautiful colors of your beautiful tresses!
