Is The Lip Bar Fast Face Kit Actually Fast?

If you have been following along on my journey then you know two things about me: 1) This year I have been trying new looks with my hair and makeup and 2) I have the tendency to run late. Well, I found a solution to both! The Lip Bar has become one of my favorite beauty brands. I love their bold colors and affordability. They have a Fast Face Kit that boasts that you can get the makeup look you want in seven minutes, using six products! I couldn’t pass it up, so I tested it out to see if it was actually fast.

A Little About The Lip Bar

The Lip Bar is “a vegan and cruelty-free beauty brand that exists to help change the way you think about beauty”.  The brand believes “without representation, you are left seeking validation”. They also believe “you should spend your time worrying about living instead of how you’re looking”. So, each of their products is “easy to use and made with the minimum skill set required”. Not only are the products fabulous, the founder, Melissa Butler, is my Soror. Win-win for me!

How It Works

Six products in seven minutes. Sounds like a dream come true, right? So, how does it work?

Step 1: Find Your Foundation
Find your foundation match by using The Lip Bar’s foundation matching system. Once you find your shade, The Lip Bar curates the rest of the items based on your complexion.

Step 2: Pick Your Lip Color and Brow Pencil
One of the things that I love about The Lip Bar is their selection of fabulous lip colors. You can pick your lip color from their curated selection. Don’t worry about it being curated, the color options are more than enough!

Step 3: Receive Your Fast Face and Make Your Makeup Easier
The most fun part of the process is, of course, playing in the makeup and applying it!

The Fast Face Kit

As I mentioned, once you find your foundation shade, you can shop the rest of the products from a curated list based on your complexion. The complexion families are Ivory, Honey, Caramel, Cinnamon, Mocha and Ebony. For reference, I’m in the Cinnamon complexion family and my shade match is 4:05.

Let’s discuss the six products in the Fast Face Kit.

Skin Serum Foundation

The Skin Serum Foundation is infused with Hyaluronic Acid, so it is actually good for your skin. The packing also has a built-in brush, making it easy to apply.

4-in-1 Face Palette

This 4-in-1 face palette is another favorite of mine. It is available in six coordinated quads based on the complexion families mentioned above. Each palette comes with four pigmented face products — a setting powder, blush, highlighter and contour powder.

2-in-1 Brow Gel and Pencil

This 2-in-1 is both a brow pencil and a brow gel. You get the best of both worlds, the ability to define and tame your eyebrows.

Eyeliner

The Lip Bar’s eyeliner is a creamy formula infused with Aloe Vera and Jojoba Oil.

Side note: Even with smudge-proof/waterproof formulas I tend to have to clean up eyeliner applied to my waterline throughout the day because it runs. This eyeliner doesn’t require that!

Lash Flash Strengthening Mascara

The Lip Bar’s mascara is infused with Green Tea Extract, which promotes lash growth and strengthens eyelashes.

Liquid Matte Lipstick

Don’t ask me how many different colors of the liquid matte I own! The Lip Bar has different types of lipstick, but the liquid matte is a best seller. I love that the colors pop and they have staying power throughout the day.

Side note: Bawse Lady (pictured above) is one of the best red lipsticks I have ever worn!

Putting It To The Test

In my YouTube video about the Fast Face Kit, I actually timed myself while applying the products.

By no means am I a makeup pro. However, I was able to pull off my look in less than six minutes! The Fast Face Kit is a winner with me. Not only are the products of great quality, but they are also affordable. The entire kit is only $99. If you’re a makeup fan like myself, then you know that is a bargain.

Conclusion

The Lip Bar Fast Face kit is actually fast! The time it took to apply the Fast Face Kit was even faster than my Cheat Sheet Makeup Routine, which is the low maintenance makeup routine I use when I need to get out of the door in 10-12 minutes. I will definitely use this system for my everyday makeup look!
