I usually play it safe. I really don’t like risks. I also have the ability to share a lot, but so little at the same time. In 2013 I started a YouTube channel documenting my natural hair journey. And within a few months I deleted it. Not just the videos, the entire page. I’ve even had a blog or two in the past…deleted those as well. I didn’t like the idea of a lot of people having access to me via the internet and the editing of the videos was more than I had signed up for. Socially-friendly introverts are still introverts, even if no one believes us. Over the years I thought about starting up my YouTube channel again, just like I keep thinking about that book I say I’m going to write. Playing it safe keeps me from failing. Playing safe keeps me from having to hustle and put forth effort.

But I knew. I’ve always known. There was something else I was supposed to be doing. Something BIGGER. And my inner women tells me that this blog is a part of that something bigger. This month I even started my YouTube channel back up.
